What you get:

Every week you get a box of vegetables from our farm.
We’ll be growing:

  • Lettuces, Spinach, Bok Choi
  • Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplants
  • Zucchinis, Cucumbers, Squash
  • Carrots, Beets, Radishes, Turnips
  • Kale, Chard
  • Onions, Garlic, Scallions
  • Herbs like Cilantro, Basil, Mint, Oregano, Thyme, Sage

We have a choose-your-own-veggies system. Each week you get an email guiding you through choosing from the list of what is available. You can also elect to go with the old-school way and let me, the farmer, choose what veggies go in your share.

What you choose, though, is not guaranteed, and I’ll always ask you for alternatives, in case I can’t provide what you chose.

We sometimes bring in produce from our friends at Lunar Rhythm Gardens like Squash and Sweet Potatoes, to give our CSA members more variety. They are our great friends, and you are encouraged to sign up for their CSA instead, if ours if it is closer to you or if you prefer it. They have a great winter CSA as well.

When:

Expected Jun 16th to Nov 3th of 2023, for 20 weeks.

Where:

Pick up times are:

  • Fridays at the farm, (1522 Moore Dr, Cavan) from 1pm to 6pm
  • Sundays from 10am to 2pm at the Clarington Farmer’s Market (near the Diane Hamre rec center)

Though I am generally flexible, and will often be ok with an alternative pick-up time, such as Thursday afternoon.

How much:

It is $20 a week for 20 weeks. We ask that you pay $40 to reserve your spot and pay for the first 2 weeks. Then on the 3rd week you can start paying $20 each week when you receive your box.

What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a concept in which consumers invest in a local farm and receive a “share” of the harvest each week. It is a way to re-establish local food production and community resilience by connecting consumers directly to producers.

How is the food grown?

This garden is grown with no pesticides of any kind, using the most natural
methods I can find. I draw from permaculture, natural farming, and no-dig philosophies for my garden’s inspiration. I’m very passionate about the quality of my garden and you are very welcome to chat with me about it if you see me around the farm.
