Description

A dozen eggs, unwashed. (Recommended that you wash before use).

The chickens are just starting to lay, and so the eggs are a bit smaller. We’re also limiting to 1 per order since there’s not that many of them yet.

Our chickens are pasture-raised, and live in move-able chicken coops, protected by move-able electric mesh fencing. We move them to a new spot in the field each week during the summer, allowing them constant access to fresh clean grass and bugs to eat. This makes the egg yolks super rich, flavorful, and nutritious.

Eggs are a superfood of superfoods. They’re loaded with real nutrition. The yolks are full of vitamins A, D, E, and K2—fat-soluble nutrients that are hard to get elsewhere. They also have choline (for brain and liver health), good fats, and high-quality protein. Despite the bad rap cholesterol gets, your body actually needs it—for hormones, brain function, and repairing cells. Eggs from healthy pasture-raised hens like ours are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can eat.

Our chickens are given regular, non-organic feed, which is about half the price of organic feed, allowing us to charge a reasonable price for our eggs. We usually soak this food before feeding the chickens, amplifying the nutrition they get from it. We get our chicken food from Boyles and Sons, the farm supply store in Peterborough.

We accept egg carton returns!
