Our large tomatoes are starting to ripen more consistently at this point, as the cherry tomatoes reach their peak abundance.

We have several varieties of big tomatoes, including many delicious heirloom varieties and others for your sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc.

One of my favorites is the black krim – a huge, juicy heirloom, that is literally bursting with flavor! Such burst, in fact, that it’s hard to hold them for even a week before they open up on their own from the sheer juiciness inside. This is why you will never find these in a supermarket – they have to go directly from the vine to your plate, with no stops in-between. But the flavor is incredible. Plus, they are heirlooms, so you can save the seeds! Which is what we do every year 🙂 a tribute to nature’s generous bounty.
