A large bag full of spinach.

At this time in late May/early June, our spinach starts growing really large and abundantly! So we start putting a larger amount in a larger bag for the same price.

We pick the leaves individually, one by one. We don’t cut a bunch of leaves at once, so each leaf is still whole. That helps them stay fresh and alive a really long time in the fridge. We also don’t wash them, so that helps them stay intact longer still! We don’t have to wash them because of how the soil is covered with straw mulch. When it rains, no dirt or anything splashes up and the leavers stay clean.

That’s why our spinach is really fresh and alive and good 🙂
